Frequently Asked Questions

  • Royal Caribbean offers the ability to request a private table in the Main Dining room by emailing their Dining Administration department at rcldining@rccl.com

Include the following in your request:

    • All Passenger Names

    • Reservation Number(s)

    • Ship Name

    • Departure Date & Port

    • Dining Time

You should do this 2-3 weeks before departure, but not earlier than that as they do not build the dining assignments until that time.

  • The train ride in Skagway is popular with tourists for a reason, it provides amazing views and great history of the area.

We recommend you look for a tour that takes the train roundtrip, as opposed to ones that have you switch to a bus for one half of the trip. This will provide you the most time on the train.

Also, choose a train car near the back of the line, so you have more time to spot the mentioned sights, and it is generally less crowded.

  • Yes! Free skydiving is only available on port days, but the spots open up the day before, so grab a spot and have fun!

We recommend signing up for a spot as soon as you board the ship, since that is technically a port day, and no one could register until they get on the ship.

You can see more about this with our guide video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/nQJs8G1iBE4

  • Yes, you can ride for free when the ship is docked at a port. That includes the departure port, but also any stop you make on your sailing. The reservations will not be available to book until you are on the ship, and will only be made available the day before, so check the Royal Caribbean app the night before a port stop and pick out a time.

  • Food is very subjective, and with so many specialty Italian restaurants, it’s hard to say with certainty which is the best. That being said, for free pizza that’s included with your cruise fare, MSC Cruises is rated highest among guests, with both thin and thick crust versions available.

  • We think MSC Cruise Lines has the best free soft serve ice cream. It’s creamy, rich, and delicious. A secret tip is to take your cone or bowl to the waffle station and add some toppings to make a great little sundae!

  • General consensus among seasoned cruisers is that Guy’s Burgers on Carnival Cruise Line ships offers the best burgers. Some specialty restaurants onboard other cruise ships may be able to compete on flavor, but Guy’s Burgers is hard to beat on price, it’s free!

  • Yes! Many MSC Cruise ships have a gelato shop onboard called Venchi Chocolate. The prices are reasonable for the size, and they have a large variety of flavors.
